A game is started with a tap and pass on the half-way line
If no try is scored after the 6th tag then the ball is turned over to the other team
After each tag the tagged player must pass the ball within 3 seconds and within 3 steps
A try is scored in the same way as other forms of rugby i.e. touching the ball down on the ground over the oppositions try line in a controlled manner
Advantage will be played above all to ensure the game is played more continuously with fewer stoppages for infringements. Players are encouraged to play to the whistle despite infringements
Once a tag is taken, the tag should be handed back to the player not thrown on the floor. Any instances of this will be penalised as it shows poor sportsmanship
A player must have replaced their tag before they touch the ball again
If a player knocks their own tag off whilst in possession of the ball, then the ball is turned over to the opposition
Fending players away from tags is a penalty offence
If a player is tagged within 1 step of the try line then they may step and score
If a player propels the ball in a forward direction, a Knock-on will be ruled
All restarts during play will be with a will be tap and pass
There will be no diving to score or to tag, if it happens a penalty will be awarded to the opposition 5m from the try line.
