The money raised by Rotary from this event will go to a variety of causes that local Rotarians decide to support. The Rotary Club has a trust fund into which all monies collected for charity are paid.
The members, currently numbering forty men and women, will allocate the money to various causes. Every decision has to be ratified by the club members as a whole.
It has already been decided that half the proceeds from the DRAGON BOAT RACE will be given to the Herefordshire ALTZEIMERS SOCIETY.
As an indication of other organisation to receive support, the following list shows recipients since the last Duck Race. The amount given varies from quite small amounts to donations in thousands of pounds.

Note: Teams entering the Dragon Boat race have several sponsoring frameworks,viz
- All sponsorship to the Rotary Trust Fund, as above
- 50% as above, with the other half to there own registered charity
- For crews entered by Registered charities, all the proceeds of sponsorship may go directly to that cause.
